An explanation text is a non-fiction text that is used to describe how or why things happen.
Social function of Exolanation text is to describe or explain how or why a certain phenomenon happens.

Structures of text:
title
1. An opening statement that identifies the process to be explained
2. Description or Sequences why and hot something happens
3. Conclusion

Linguistic features of text:
• using simple present tense
° using passive sentences
• using linking words or conjunction (in addition, then, moreover, etc.)
• using action verhs (breaks, erupts, etc)
° giving a detailed description to create a rich meaning

  How to make mac and cheese Elbow macaroni: It’s my favorite for this recipe, but any other bite-sized pasta will work. Butter: salted or unsalted will work–just adjust the amount of salt you add, depending on the butter.
