You know that, application letter is a letter that contains your abilities and personal experience related to the job position you are applying for. So, this letter is used to explain yourself when you are going to apply for a job. Usually, this letter is sent to the recruiter along with a CV.

Langguage Rules

To write an application letter, language is one of the main keys in making a good letter. Moreover, this is a formal letter, so language is a determining factor in the job application proces.

When writing an Application Letter, you should avoid using inappropriate language, such as slang words. Slang is slang that is used everyday to talk to closest friends. The Application Letter should be written using informative, short sentences and short paragraphs. Don't forget to explain where you got the information about job vacancies, either through advertisements or other media. You should check every spelling, diction, and grammar carefully. HRD or the authorities reading your cover letter sometimes immediately opt-out or discard the job application if they find errors in spelling, diction, or grammar

In this letter, there are 2 types of language, namely simple present tense and simple past tense. The simple present tense is used in sentences that occur in the present, for example as in the opening part. Then, the simple past tense is used in sentences that happened in the past, for example in the section explaining your experience.
