Caption


General Definition

Caption text is text that can be used to complete the picture. This caption text is important so that readers are interested in seeing the content that we create.  Besides that, captions can also help explain pictures or give context briefly. Caption can be in any language. If you view an image without captions, it may feel as if you're not getting the full picture. We can't know for sure what the picture is trying to communicate, so we'll have to take its meaning on faith.
Most of the text in the captions is two sentences long. Also, write down as much information as possible and avoid writing information that is not clear. We focus on telling stories and providing readers with new and interesting information. This completes the story in the picture. Many people like it because each image is unique. Quotes can come from many different sources, including books, articles, speeches, and other texts.

Types
There are 7 types of caption text, those are :

Identification, usually used to describe or identify everyone in the photo, but does not explain a story. The focus on this type of identification text caption is on clarity.
Group Caption,  usually used to describe multiple images. This caption should have at least two sentences per image and include a quote whenever possible.
Story Telling, the ideal type of caption and can be used whenever possible. This type of caption will tell a story behind the image.
Summary, usually contains an explanation of the subject in the picture, the activities carried out in the picture, the time of the incident, the location of the incident and the reason why the activity was carried out.
Quotes, containing a quote
Cutline, the most frequently found in pictures and writings listed in newspapers and media, both offline and online.
Expanded, the type of caption that has the most complete information
